Internships will always be one of the greatest opportunities to give our future leaders a real, yet positive introduction to our progressive construction industry. We spoke to a few of our interns to see how they’ve been enjoying their summer and what strides they’ve made in their development. They explained how much they’ve embraced the opportunity to learn and grow in their fields as it can be very hands-on, offering a variety of techniques to their skill sets. Some highlights shared they have appreciated being part of are constant site walks, working on bids, virtual design, assisting with concrete testing, and administering requests for information (RFI’s) and revisions.
Our talent team designed a program where our interns are spread throughout New Mexico and Arizona spanning multiple jobsites and offices to gain more personal experience. Our internships are not limited to a Field Engineer or Project Engineer internship with Corbins or RMCI. We also have interns in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and operation support functions with Nox Group, as well as Virtual Construction with Nox Innovations. Each intern works closely with a variety of our team members absorbing all the knowledge they can before returning to college life. This year we have a few interns returning from last year’s program along with many who have stated their intentions to join the team upon completion of their degree.
For us, internships are a special time in the year as we inspire future industry leaders while gaining fresh perspectives on ways to continue our mission to humanize construction. While this may be one way to get your foot in the door to a successful industry, we encourage anyone interested in a role in construction to visit our careers page to see the list of open positions offered with us throughout the Southwest.
