NOX GROUP INDUSTRIALEYES RX SAFETY GLASSES PROGRAM
Nox Group has implemented an eyewear program to aid our employees in purchasing prescription safety eyewear and eliminate the need for OTG glasses and goggles.
Nox Group will pay $125 towards prescription safety eyewear purchased through our program. Every full-time employee who needs prescription safety eyewear is eligible.
Here are some FAQs to assist you in learning about the program:
1. What’s the name of the program?
This is the Nox Group IndustrialEyes program, and it’s oMered through a company called Luxottica Retail. They’ve been running this program for 20+ years.
2. Is this health/vision insurance?
No. This program has nothing to do with the Vision insurance we oMer, so if you have that insurance, this program doesn’t aMect any of those benefits.
3. How much do the glasses cost?
That’s really up to you. We selected this program because they oMer significant discounts on the base price of the frames and lenses. For example, if your prescription calls for single vision lenses and you don’t add on things like photochromatic (auto) tinting, then you can get a nice pair of prescription lens safety glasses for less than the $125 contribution from Nox Group.
4. So how do I get my $125?
We don’t issue anything directly to you. Instead, when you purchase the glasses, Nox Group gets billed directly by the vendor for $125 and you pay the balance. So, if the total bill is $200, we get billed for $125 and you pay the remaining $75 straight to the vendor.
5. Can I get some for my dad, brother, mom, etc.?
No, this program is for full-time Nox Group (Corbins, RMCI, Nox Innovations, Construction Labels) employees only. If the program is abused, we will payroll deduct any overpayment or improper payment directly from your paycheck.
6. Where do I get the glasses? Can I go to my optometrist?
You can’t go to your optometrist because this is an inclusive program, however, the vendors are LensCrafters, Target Optical, and select Pearle Vision centers, so there are options in every town. It has to be this way because of the program restrictions on types of glasses we will cover (see question #9 below).
7. Does this include an eye exam?
No. You’ll need to take a current prescription from your optometrist into the vendor oMice when you’re ready to order the glasses.
8. How many pairs can I get?
Each employee is eligible for $125 of coverage every 24 months, so you can purchase as many pairs as you like, however Nox Group will only cover $125 for you every two years.
9. Can I get any frames and lenses I want?
For the most part, but there are a few restrictions:
• Must meet ANSI Z87 requirements for safety glasses.
• No metal frames; plastic or titanium only.
• No glass lens; plastic or polycarbonate only.
• Tint level 1 OR photochromatic lens only; no permanent tint.
• Side shields must be permanently aMixed, no removable side shields.
10. So how do I get started?
STEP 1: Contact your HSE representative for your project to express your interest in participating in the program.
STEP 2: Your HSE representative will provide you with a master copy of our Authorization Form which will include your name and our company’s predetermined eyewear options. (Please note this authorization form is individualized to each employee and should not be duplicated).
STEP 3: Present the signed Authorization Form to any of our participating vendors (LensCrafters, Target Optical or select Pearle Vision centers). The associates at these stores will follow the instructions specified by the company.
