For Gioele Botta, construction is an identity, providing answers with new beginnings in his life.

Growing up in Bergamo, Italy, Gioele was surrounded by the Southern Limestone Alps, spending most of his time outdoors skiing and rock climbing. Coming from a family within the industry, Gioele was familiar with construction from a young age and was attracted to the concept of creative ideas being turned into tangible projects through problem-solving and collaboration. When asked what initially drew Gioele to the construction industry, he answered, “seeing the results of your work in the real world”.
After getting married in Italy, Gioele and his wife ventured abroad, eventually leading him to BYU-Idaho, where he earned a degree in Virtual Design and Construction. Learning the technical skills and the perspective to approach construction in innovative ways led him right to Nox Innovations, where he began as an intern for 6 months. Seeing how VC directly impacts projects, Gioele enjoyed being exposed to multiple dimensions of projects, including design, prefabrication, and operations in the field. The support for Gioele’s eager spirit to learn was supported by the mentorship he received throughout his internship, leaving him with a lasting impression of Nox Innovations as a company.

The challenges and fulfillment from overcoming them are what encouraged Gioele to stay on with Nox Innovations after completing his internship to join our team full-time. The deep-rooted culture and drive to be innovators within our industry was inspiring, calling him to come back and be a part of a team that welcomed questions with an unknown answer. The unwavering support of collaboration and improvement on processes is what left Gioele asking, “Why would I want to be anywhere else?”. He goes on to say, “There’s a real satisfaction to being able to look at a finished project and know you helped make it possible. Construction creates lasting impact, and being part of that process – from concept to completion – gives me a strong sense of purpose”.
Reflecting on his career, Gioele agrees with our Nox Group mantra that construction is about the people, not just the projects. The teamwork that is required from his role is what makes it such a desirable industry to work in. The rewarding feeling he receives from the hard work, teamwork, and critical thinking is what motivates him to contribute to the variety of projects that are in his future. The tradition embedded within our industry, with the addition of recent innovative practices and new technologies, is what makes Gioele take pride in what he does with Nox Innovations.
