Throughout the construction industry, fostering strong connections and having a foundation for mentorship opportunities is important. As you grow your career in the trades, being able to recognize the people around you as outlets for information makes all the difference in your journey. With generations of skills, knowledge, and tips, the construction industry is a place where learning from your peers is encouraged, no matter your age or experience.
“A true mentor in construction doesn’t just teach you how to build. They teach you how to build with purpose, integrity, and pride.”
During his time as a Field Engineer Intern, Kevin Montejano had the privilege of learning from Jose Borquez and Kye Kenney, both Field Engineers who set the standard for what it means to lead with discipline, humility, and pride on the jobsite. Picking up more than just technical knowledge, he learned how to carry himself, think on his feet, and take pride in the work. The support and mentorship of his team played a pivotal role in his seamless transition from intern to Field Engineer at Corbins, empowering him to confidently apply the knowledge and skills he gained along the way.
